    Dori Williams, Clerk of the City of Florence, Colorado

    Florence (Colorado) — She's the living memory of the city council. Not really a historian, but almost. Her job at the city hall is to make sure local knowledge and culture are passed on. Which is exactly what we wanted to find out: how had the town learned to put up with all these prisons? We were introduced to Dori Williams by Tom Piltingsrud and Sunny Barnes, who sit on the city council with her. It was even hotter than usual on the day of the interview. The sun was scorching.
